Habbe Papita is a Unani compound drug used for various gastric disorders. It is named due to its chief ingredient Papeeta (Carica papaya fruit). The chief ingredient is said to aid digestion and provide relief from flatulence and stomachache. Also removes constipation.

Indications of Habbe Papita

• It is a Gastric tonic.
• It is beneficial in Dyspepsia and diarrhoea.

Ingredients used in Habbe Papita

• Papeeta (Carica papaya fruit): Papaya fruits are well known for their laxative action. It contains the enzyme papain which is similar to pepsin (human digestive enzyme). It stimulates proper digestion of fat, protein and starch and heals constipation.
• Zanjabil (Zingiber officinalis rhizome): Zanjabeel or ginger is carminative, antiemetic and thermogenic. It promotes the secretion of saliva and gastric juices. It improves appetite, digestion and assimilation and is found to be effective for all kinds of stomach troubles including bloating, colic, nausea, indigestion, stomach ache, irritable bowel syndrome etc
• Filfil Siyah (Piper nigrum fruit): Kali Mirch or Black Pepper. It is dried unripe seeds of plant, Piper nigrum. It is useful in chronic indigestion, obesity, colic, cholera, gastric ailments, gas, diarrhoea, haemorrhoids and worms
• Podina (Mentha arvensis herb)
• Gule Mudar (Calotropis procera flower)
• Namak lahori (Sodium Chlorate)
• Namak Siyah (Sodium sulphate with Sodium chloride): Rock salt, is hot in potency but believed to be more cooling than natural sea salt. It is a good remedy for digestive disorders. It stimulates salivation and digestion.

How to use Habbe Papita

• One Pill is to be given after a meal twice a day with lukewarm water.
